That infantile, idiot bitch had fucked up my hair, my face, and my clothing. If she weren’t Carson’s prized possession, I would already have my fist down her throat and my knee in her ribs. Once Carson pulled her pathetic little body off of me, I scrambled out of the room and left the hallway. I didn’t give a shit about watching the door anymore—there was no longer any threat to our operation.
I scanned the room looking for a restroom, needing to wash the blood out of my eyes and off of my clothes. Geoff already had the women arranged on the couch in the main room, guns pointed at them, some of them pissed off and some of them frightened.
“Bathroom?” I shouted toward them. One pointed in a direction that led me through the kitchen (where the meth was). I made my way through the area and found the restroom. Blood was everywhere. My clothes were completely ruined, my face looked busted, and my lip was throbbing.
I wanted to kick Emma’s ass. But I couldn’t. Carson would beat me to a pulp if I even tried. I washed myself up and enjoyed the slight sense of relief that we’d accomplished what we’d come to do. When I walked back through the kitchen I noticed some cars pulling up into the driveway. Ricardo’s crew. We were anticipating this.
I hustled back to the main room and told Geoff we had visitors. He tossed his rifle toward me and told me to watch the girls while he checked back with Carson. We had no time to fuck around.
“How many are in the crew?” I asked the women on the couch.
One shrugged, the other rolled her eyes, and another—the frightened one—looked up at me. With barely a whisper, she told me only seven men remained. So we would be evenly matched in manpower, that was at least some good news. In no time, Carson was following Geoff out of the back room and joining me in the main.
Men started opening the front door and piling in, completely unaware of what had happened. It didn’t take long for one of them to notice a dead guard on the floor and start raising the alarm. Carson stepped into their view and shook them to their core.
“Ah, gentleman, we meet again,” he shouted as he put one hand on his hip and the other on his chin as he laughed to himself. They had no idea who he was.
“Who the fuck are you, man? What the hell is going on here?”
Weapons swiftly entered the air and our men responded in kind.
“Now, now, there doesn’t need to be any more bloodshed today. As you can see, I’ve already had my fair share… but that isn’t to say I’m done. The last we all met was in Connecticut, where your… ‘boss,’ if that’s what you actually called him, ambushed me for the SECOND TIME,” Carson growled. He was showing his teeth.
“You Carson Gill?”
Carson threw his hands up and twirled around, mocking them.
